The Ground Level network is an Apostolic movement networked together through regional and relational connections. Ground Level exists to equip, support and care for churches and ministries. We are seeking to have a growing influence for good in our nation, affecting society in any positive way that we can. We believe that the church is to be a prophetic voice that models Word and Spirit along with Relationship and Kingdom.
Our Vision: a movement of churches, advancing the kingdom everywhere Our Mission: creating healthy churches, developing great leaders and equipping God’s people. Our Core Values: relationship, partnership, resourcing, Spirit and Word.
what can you expect?
1. Connection
Within Ground Level you will have access to peer level ministry and relationships through participation in one of our Connections. These connections will seek to serve you, your team and your church to equip, support and care in any way that we are able. Connections will meet frequently throughout the year.
2. Leaders National Forums
Held quarterly, this is an opportunity for the Key Leaders from every church (plus emerging or younger leaders) to attend a day designed just for them; with ministry that is geared to enhance the work of the local church and build the life of the individual senior leader. Each gathering focuses on a specific subject relevant to leadership and church life.
3. Leaders Conference
Each year Ground Level holds a vibrant, purposeful conference over three days at the Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire. This is a chance for you, your leadership and your emerging leaders to come and spend quality time together in an environment of friendship, relationship, training and equipping. Over the years leadership teams have testified to growing stronger together through their participation in this event.
4. Awaken
The whole church gets an opportunity to gather together with other Ground Level Churches and Christians from across the nation. The AWAKEN event is a time for worship, world-class ministry, fellowship, fun, equipping and resourcing.
5. Leaders Days
Bi-Monthly on the second Tuesday of each month in Lincoln Ground Level hold a day for church leaders and their teams. With a format of worship, updates, ministry (from a national/international figure) and lunch together. These days continue to be extremely popular.
6. Apostolic Influence and Input
Ground Level provides this through various channels... ● Our events mentioned above ● Connections ● Advice and consultation for individual churches where requested ● Additional support including: ○ Ministerial Accreditation ○ Web Profiling including online directory and church search ○ Safeguarding and DBS support
7. Eco System
Our eco-system shows the network in its length and breadth, the ways we interact, our activities and how we deliver our mission:
what is expected from you?
1. Develop a relationship with a Ground Level Connection Leader.
2. When possible attendance at the Leaders National Forum.
3. Attendance, support, and promotion of the Ground Level Leadership Conference.
4. Support, participation and promotion of the AWAKEN event.
5. Involving the network / Connection leadership in any significant leadership issue including matters of leadership transition / succession, or issues of moral, financial or doctrinal concern.
6. As a relational network Ground Level makes no formal due diligence requirements of its member Churches, it is the responsibility of the member Church to ensure it fulfils its legal responsibilities.
Ground Level will however encourage and resource best practice wherever possible, as a bare minimum Ground Level would recommend each Church hold an up to date Safeguarding Policy and DBS Check for the Senior Leader.
7. Financial Participation:
It is expected that Ground Level Churches would contribute an amount monthly by standing order to the Network to assist with the operating costs of the Network. We suggest a contribution of 2% of tithes and offerings. This is not a stipulation and some churches choose to give more to support the running of the Network and its ministry.
joining ground level
First contact with Ground Level usually comes about through relationship; a church leader friend, attendance at the Awaken event, the Ground Level Network leader, some other meeting, or conversation.
The next step is a conversation with a suitable Connection Leader or our Network leader – determined on geographical and relational grounds. Relationship is then developed through invitations to Leaders days or Conference, and Connection Leaders are happy to visit churches and meet with leaders or teams and to answer questions in any appropriate forum.
When all parties are satisfied that membership of Ground Level is an appropriate next step, churches are invited to complete an application form, which together with the recommendation of the Connection leader goes to the Ground Level Executive Team. Because this process proceeds through relationship it is essentially a forgone conclusion that such an application will be welcomed and a letter of welcome is sent to the church.
